Hammonassett Beach State Park

Hammonassett Beach State Park
Inhale......Ahhhh the smell of salt air
Sandals off ....Ahhhh the feel of soft cool sand between my toes
Eyes closed.... Ahhhh the cool breeze and warm sun on my face
Ears open....Ahhh the sound of seagulls enjoying morning on the shore
Eyes open... Ahhh the beautiful views of the beach and Long Island Sound
Lean back, neck tilted upward...Ahhhh clouds
Imagination open....Ahhhhh I see a hummer moth, fields of organic crops, and flying whales
This is retirement on a Wednesday morning!

Two miles of beach to meander along
Shells to search for
Views to enjoy
A handful of people
Accessible walkways
Accessible beach prevents erosion
Views everywhere
Blue skys and clouds
Picturesque pathways
Boardwalks behind the dunes

A place to rest and...
Some shade for lunch
Pavilion artwork...

to enjoy on your way to the restroom

This is all I need in life.
This is Hammonassett Beach State Park.
