Green Animals - Newport RI 2021

After a visit to see the Breakers in Newport, R.I., we drove another ten miles to Green Animals Topiary Garden in Portsmouth, R.I. It was well worth the extra drive, and admission to both was included on our tickets.

Flat walkable pathways lead to a variety of interesting gardens 

Hedge-lined flower gardens and green-arched entrances...

Animals and spirals...

curved paths, animals, and even a chair! 

A giraffe and some friends...

branches revealed...

creativity unleashed...

some welcome shade..

a sign of love...

a llama...

cuddly bears...

an excuse to play...

pink peonies...

a pineapple...

and manicured trees

But it doesn't end there! Just when you are ready to sit and rest, there are perfectly positioned benches with views...

and a place to walk in the shade...

where you can see sailboats...

and deer...

and just before you head back to the parking lot, there is a 160 year old Copper Beech Tree!
